What is Easter and why it is celebrated?
Easter is a Christian festival that celebrates the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The holiday falls on April 4 this year and will be celebrated all across the globe. According to the New Testament of the Bible, Easter occurs three days after the crucifixion of Jesus by Romans.
Why do we celebrate Easter with eggs?

Egg decorating may have become part of the Easter celebration in a nod to the religious significance of Easter, i.e., Jesus’ resurrection or re-birth. Many people – mostly children – also participate in Easter egg “hunts,” in which decorated eggs are hidden.
